i love doing contrasts between gokudera and yamamoto. i don't know why. maybe because it's so easy? XD first one i did is over here, and because i'm lame it's largely gen. so is this one, as a matter of fact.

wow, first time i'm celebrating a character birthday in this fandom \:D/ AND I'M DOING IT WITH GEN ANGST!

also, everyone should read Mirai Nikki! because it's twisted and dark and ultraviolent and Gasai Yuno should become everybody's favorite fictional psychopath ♥ srsly. right up there with Yagami Light and Hannibal Lecter.

...i won't even pretend to understand how the diaries work exactly, although i adapted the dynamics a bit to suit the story. i just got the idea for this crossover when i realized the chars were calling each other by their diary numbers. gokudera calls tsuna "Tenth" in the earlier english translations, so it kind of snowballed from there XD

starring gokudera hayato as the girlfriend from hell.

( 'It's simple, Tsuna. We made a promise, right?' Yamamoto flashed him a brilliant smile. 'We're going to get out of this crazy game. All three of us. None of us can do it alone, so what's the point in not trusting each other?' )

summary, right: Sometime in the near future, Yamamoto achieves a "trance state" where he is almost invincible. When he does this, he loses all emotion. Reborn thinks this makes him the perfect hitman - however, this also makes him a dangerous person for Tsuna to have around.

Having failed to fully master this state, Yamamoto is forced to confront a very old sin, and to confess to Tsuna that he cannot be trusted.

DO NOT TAKE THIS SRSLY OK. for all we know yamamoto's mom is alive and well in hell and doing great. she just hasn't been mentioned in the manga at all, so i'm playing around with her.

and of course, there is no such thing as a "trance state" - that's just a lame name for a power move that yama's never going to have in canon. ever. i just felt like giving him some sort of excuse for being a "natural-born hitman" even if i don't actually see him killing anyone ^^

EMO/FLUFF ALERT. *is 99% sure doujinshi or something like this already exists somewhere...*
